Don't you think we ought to know by now?

So I've had some requests from my own mind and from others. Check & check; here they are.
Weather sucks again BTW. Hot and wet.

I HATE rain boots! I mean not all of them, but why do most have be the same obnoxious size, shape and colors? Bleh!

If I ever really matter in the fashion world, I will create boots shaped like the boots everyone compliments people on. A classic shape, a slim leg and front tip, a muted color, but still some material that's rainproof, but not sweat inducing, unlike rubber.
Oh well a girl can dream can't she?

Anywho here's my daily fashion inspiration...

awe-inspiring. with some ripped dark jeans and sparkly shoes to accent the neck bling <3

That tee could work for a guy to, minus the necklace, unless you're brave.
Let's look at fashions fave boys.

HOW CUTE!
The men of Gossip Girl sporting preppy, formal, and hipster approved casual styles.
No chest hair required, but I like the pops of color.

Another trend this Fall is sort of appropriate all year round, and all decades round as well.
Head Scarves!

Now a word from the wise.

Too warm for all this yet. But I'm very impatient so let's see if we can try a lighter version.

Well, she's in the desert, but this doesn't look too light.
H&M anyone?
Not sure about the left and right, but I'm digging the middle look. and she's just in tights so it's doable right now.

Finally, I leave you with one last trend. Clogs.

Not these kind of clogs, silly. You're not cool enough to pull these off anyway.

These kind.

I LOVE this affordable Steve Madden variation-
The Warrick.

Hate the in-between

Weather that is.
What is one supposed to wear when he/she is sick of their summer wardrobe but it's too hot for winter clothes?
My solution is a dress, tights, boots and maybe a sweater you've REALLY been wanting to wear.

This DIY example rocks.

Anyone gutsy enough to
A. Attempt cutting up a sweater successfully &
B. Wear that in public?
If so hats off to you!
I LOVE.

I cannot wait until it's really cold so I can pull out my fur hat!!
Faux, of course.

Not my fave duo but they do dress cute.

hhmm what else?

Make-up is pretty fun in the cooler months too. You can get away with darker colors on your lips, cheeks & eyes. But of course, never all three at the same time. I like bronze shadow & nude lips, or mauve lips & nude face.

This is to the extreme, but you get the idea

Must I always use the Olsens as an example? Sorry, but YES!

They can get away with everything! Messy hair looks gorgeous on them.

This is one of my many favorite lookbookers
[sans colors,messy hair]
AKA
me to a tee

But hey, if you like colors, you can try them on the face and get away with all over gray woo!

Socks with heels is also a look I admire but I have to say never actually tried.
J-crew never usually pushes limits, but I'm digging this layered, cosy, messy look going on.

Anyone can try this!

New Military or Trench?

tough decision

Rain Rain Go...

Well it seems it's another dreary day. Try and see the bright side, even without the sun shining, and take advantage of wearing new/favorite warm sweaters & jackets!

I like this mysterious look with Louboutins & a classic shaped tan trench that Selena rocks in her video for "Round & Round"

Fully functional & fashionable in the rain!

I like the idea of making Fall more exciting with some animal print peeking through your coat if you keep it on during class or work. It works in any form, such as tights or a cardigan. Fur adds a glam touch as always.

Boots can also be wild. Rawr.

I would wear these even if it was beautiful out!

This weather makes me want to eat yummy things that are terrible for you but oh so delicious. The more butter the better!
Last night i made my boyfriend a famous pasta dish called Carbonara. This recipe originated in Rome during World War II when American Army soldiers combined the classic tastes of bacon & eggs with italian comfort food flare. Where am I going with this?

Kind of reminds me of the color scheme from Project Runway's Menswear & Camel Vs. Military & Lace episode

Well military styles are always in, especially in the colder months of the year, and Roman/Italian styles make me think romance, such as lace. Here's another example from this season of Project Runway.

I love how I can combine two things i love!
It's pretty easy to tie fashion even into cooking

Now i'm hungry

Triple Fret [Finally Feels like Fall]

The weather report was wrong today. Not sunny & ninety but cloudy & damp. I kind of like it though because it means I can FINALLY wear my BLAZER!!

But in keeping with the new cheery version of Fall that Vogue is stressing from here to London, I'm really wanting one of these [Gold Blazer]

For those of us that can't afford Blake Lively's wardrobe, here's one from H&M

Not as structured, but still gets the job done on a budget.

This girl looks like a combo of Ke$ha & Blake don'tcha think?

Speaking of Ke$ha, I believe she wore trash bags to the VMA's this year

Not my favorite of hers, I actually prefer her MESSIER.

And now for a complete 360 from Ke$ha, here's a clean look.

A style that never fails in the Fall is of course Demure Prep. Simple muted colors, such as these from the book turned film "Never Let Me Go". I want to leave you with some creativity. Read this book and see this movie. I'm going tonight. Starring Vogue cover girl Carey Mulligan.

strike the pose

So September's almost over but that doesn't make new fall fashion any less relevant.
The new issue could be just as impressive, but a little less thick & less obnoxiously full of ads.

Vogue USA October 2010

Brights & Pastels in the Fall? Very refreshing.

Why didn't some one think of this sooner?

Betsey Johnson Fall 2010 Collection

Really cheers one up from the season shift blues huh?
Kinda reminds me of...

I see a trend developing here. AND I WAS RIGHT!

Vogue UK October 2010

Fall is looking a lot like Spring. What will they think of next?
Fashion is big puzzle waiting to be put together & I just cracked the code!
Ok done with the puns & cliches
I'll leave you with two more things...

And if you picked up the September issue of Vogue you saw Mary-Kate Olsen with
PINK HAIR!

New trends = New hair as well
